MARA WOLLONG
Mara Wollong is a documentary film editor and filmmaker based in New York City. She has extensive experience telling stories in myriad formats and styles, and loves experimenting with different forms of storytelling.
Mara is drawn to narratives centering social, political, and economic issues and has edited numerous documentaries and non-fiction series. Her work has appeared on most major broadcast networks and streaming platforms, as well as theatrically. She's had the privilege of working with Martin Scorsese, Alex Gibney, Ava DuVernay and Nancy Schwartzmann, among many others.
Mara made her directorial debut in 2023 with the experimental documentary "Studio with a View", for which she also served as cinematographer and editor. She is currently working on a new piece, a reflection on New York's changing urban landscape, with principal shooting scheduled for spring 2026.
